			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>So, here we are at the beginning of a new year. And make no mistake, this is MY year!</p>
<p>This is the year I (finally) get into shape!<br />
This is the year that my business takes off!<br />
The year that I get the dream girlfriend&#8230; oh yes, she will be mine!</p>
<p>As some of you that can be bothered to read my blog, my crash diet didn&#8217;t go quite as planned before Christmas. Instead of taking a predetermined break I failed and as a result acted like Robert Downey Jr. in a coke store. I ate so much the last week of the year I felt like a bear getting ready for hibernation.</p>
<p>Now 2 weeks later, as the new year is beginning I&#8217;m a whopping 5 kg heavier than I was before I started my bing.<br />
So I&#8217;ve been going to the gym almost every day for the last 10 days. When I started again, my legs felt tired just by walking up the stairs to the workout room so I decided to go straight to the weights. And I only managed to do about 70% of what I&#8217;m used to!!! This sucks so much!</p>
<p>Then after a much needed pumping iron session I went on the bike. I usually peddle at level 15 and even 16 for about 1/4 of the time at about 95 rpm. NOW I felt dead after only 1-2 minutes so I decreased the level to 13.<br />
It&#8217;s funny (not haha funny, but interesting funny) how your body can adjust to the work you put on it and I gradually increased the difficulty to 15.<br />
I&#8217;m actually very proud of myself because it would have been so easy just to quit or only do 10 minutes and hit the sauna. But I stuck with it and finished my 30 minutes I had planned (and then hit the sauna!).</p>
<p>Now a few days later, I&#8217;m doing the summit machine once again and starting to lose a little weight, which feels so good as I&#8217;m now at the lowest weight I&#8217;ve been since in my teens!!!</p>
<p>Yeah for me&#8230;. time for a beer!! <img src='http://www.fatlossguy.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>

<p>The nutrients are quite simply substances that provide nourishment for your body.  They can be classified into three main categories:</p>

<p>Well that didn&#8217;t take me too long to realize how stupid that sidetrack was. Today the gym opened again after the holidays and I was there waiting when the doors opened! Well ok, not maybe when they opened in the morning (I would have gone that early, but I was sleeping) but they opened up for me when I walked in.<br />
I really punished myself and did a full on 60 min, 800 calorie workout on the Summit master and bike. I pushed myself so hard my heartbeat was at over 180 for about half the time I was on the bike.</p>

</em>Been off the diet for a few days and I&#8217;m missing it! At the end of the day, I don&#8217;t feel any better because I let myself eat more. Mind you, I&#8217;m still keeping it fairly healthy, but I am letting myself eat what&#8217;s on offer when I go on visits and when there&#8217;s something good for dinner. But I always regret it at the end of the day and wonder why this &#8220;addiction&#8221; is so strong.</p>

Not that I can really complain as I don&#8217;t get hung over more than twice a year, but when  I do get hungover it seems as it&#8217;s getting worse. And no, I don&#8217;t only drink twice a year. I just got lucky this way.</p>

</em>Aaahhhhh, now I remember why it&#8217;s not as easy as it seemed yesterday. Social life! Meet a group of special friends (no not the special Olympics kind of special) tonight at a bar. I am really against bans and off-limit foods, so today I took the evening into account, ate a little less than usual over the day and kept dinner similar to my other days.</p>
